The Coach: Mohamed Emira
Born and raised in beautiful Alexandria, Egypt, Mohamed Emira started playing handball when he was 13 years old.   His handball career started as a goalie on the youth team then proceeded to the junior team until he was 20 years old; he played professionally for 4 years before moving to the U.S.A.

Having been in the U.S. for 9 years now, his passion for handball has continued to grow even though he hasn’t played professionally since arriving.  Mohamed has held many titles in his handball career, both regional and national.   In his final year at the junior level, his team won the Egyptian league and the Egyptian cup in the same year (equivalent to NCAA in the US).  At the professional level, his team won the Egyptian cup and took second place in the Egyptian league.

Mohamed holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and currently works as an Arabic translator, translating manuals and software for global 911 call centers.   Last year he was honored by being the only representative from the USA at the EHF (European Handball Federation) Coaches Course in Hungary.  The course offered lectures and presentations by some of the best Handball coaches in the world.  Mohamed was chosen from all of the participants to offer the final words and remarks to the coaches at the end of the seminar due to his contribution at the course.
